WEEKLY BULLETIN
Caring Cooks
Caring Cooks is a ministry dedicated to providing meals for individuals and families during life's significant moments. Whether you're recovering from surgery, facing a major medical situation, grieving the loss of a loved one, or celebrating the arrival of a new baby, we're here to offer support through a meal.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this ministry, or if you’re interested in being a part of it please contact Lori Lake, or the church office at receptionist@nocc.org
Movie Night
Join us for a Movie Night on Friday, July 17, in the Worship Center! We'll be showing the live-action How to Train Your Dragon. Admission is free! Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the movie begins at 6:30 PM.
Our youth students will be serving snacks at the concession stand, with all proceeds going toward the youth camp fund to help make camp more affordable for students. Bring your family, invite your friends, and enjoy a fun evening while supporting our youth ministry!
Summer Park Days
Your family is invited to our next Summer Park Day on Thursday, July 23rd, from 9:30–11:00 AM at Riverdale Park (4545 E. Riverdale Ave., Anaheim).
Join us for a relaxed morning of playground fun, conversation, and community.
Families with kids of all ages are welcome!
Move-Up Sunday
August 2nd is officially Move Up Sunday! Starting that day, kids in K-6th grades will be in their 2026/2027 school year grades and respective classrooms! Pick up more information from the kids’ check in cart. If you have questions, please email Callie at callie@nocc.org.
We can’t wait to kick off this new ministry year with your kids!
Beach Baptisms
We’re having a Beach Baptism on Sunday, August 2nd at 4pm. Come and hang out with us for time at the beach, worship, and celebrating as people get baptized! Location will be announced soon. If you are interested in baptism, you can sign up at the table outside starting today.
Women’s Safety and Self-Defense Workshop
Women and girls (ages 12+) are invited to join us for a Women's Safety and Self-Defense Workshop in the worship center on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.
Learn practical self-defense skills and personal safety strategies from Heather Flessing, 4th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo.
SClick here to sign up online or visit the table outside after the service or email Callie (callie@nocc.org).
Storehouse Food Pantry
The Storehouse Ministry is dedicated to people in need of food assistance. We are a partner agency with Second Harvest Food Bank. Through them, we receive a variety of donations which include bread/pastries, frozen meats, fresh produce and more. We rarely receive dry goods and pantry items. This is where YOU CAN HELP…
First, we are in need of more volunteers to help distribute the food from 2pm - 5pm on Mondays and 2pm - 4pm on Tuesdays. Contact the office at office@nocc.org to volunteer.
Also we are in the process of redesigning our distribution to allow our guests more independence in choosing the foods that they want. To make this happen, a full pantry is needed. We are looking for a steady flow of dry goods/pantry items. Dry beans/rice, cereal, canned vegs, soups/soup mixes, peanut butter, pasta etc. are needed.
Alongside our food & volunteer needs, we are also currently seeking summer clothing donations. As the weather continues to grow hotter, we want to be able to provide people with cool, lightweight, and breathable clothing instead of the winter clothing we currently have. Food and clothing donations can be brought to the office Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, or bring any donations with you to service on Sunday.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in" Matthew 23:35
One Night Wednesday Summer Break
Our weekly One Night Wednesday has officially closed for the season. In the meantime, please note that while One Night Wednesday is on break, the youth group (7th-12th grades) will continue meeting regularly throughout the summer.
We hope you have a wonderful and refreshing summer, and we look forward to reconnecting with you in the September! God bless!
