World Vision’s Global 6k for Water

Every Step you take is one they don’t have to.

On Saturday, May 17, people around the world will walk, run, or roll in World Vision’s Global 6K for Water—because 6 kilometers or 3.7 miles is the average distance women and children in developing countries walk every day to get water.

Why walk? Because 703 million people still lack access to basic drinking water, and over 1,000 children under 5 die daily from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But change is possible—and you can be part of it.

When you register, your $50 donation provides lasting clean water for one person in need through World Vision’s life-changing projects. World Vision focuses on reaching communities, schools, and health clinics with access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene behavior change support. Every 10 seconds, World Vision reaches one new person with clean water and one new person with a handwashing facility. By registering for the Global 6K for Water, you’re giving kids and families the tools they need for healthier, more fulfilled futures!
