“Getting stoned” has a connation to us that is unique to our culture. But, in the time of the early church, “getting stoned” was literal—people threw heavy stones at a person until they were dead. It was a death penalty inflicted by a whole community—often as a mob. The first “Hero” in our series suffered this fate. Who was he, and why did he deserve to be stoned to death? Join us as we look “Stephen the Martyr”, and at how we can also have the strength God gave him.
