We all have our ways of celebrating Christmas—our own traditions. Where do they come from? Our culture has its influence on us, but even our culture is influenced by something deeper. The only problem is that we don’t always see it. Behind our traditions is a truth that has existed longer than people have celebrated Christmas. In “The Roots of Christmas”, we explore the realities behind the celebration. We begin with a look at the baby in the manger. We’ve all heard about him, seen him in pageants, sung about him. But who is he? The answer is anything but the cuddly little child lying in the manger!
